A NOTE ABOUT QUESTIONS REGARDING BREEDING & SHOWING:
I have only basic knowledge about breeding and pregnancy in guinea pigs. However, I will endeavour to respond to your questions with the help of reputable persons with notable experience, and will often put you in direct contact with others with more expertise in rodent obstetrics.
If I am ever in any doubt about questions asked on any topic, I will refer you to someone with superior knowledge and experience.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please note that Laura is not a veterinarian, so any questions you have regarding the health or illness of your guinea pigs must be understood as complemetary - not supplementary - advice. A professional medical opinion must be sought from a veterinarian if you suspect your guinea pig is ill.

Please note that as of Monday 20th February I will be taking a six week break from the Helpline.
Unfortunately due to recent events I have had to make the decision to take an additional six weeks leave from the Helpline, meaning it will be early May before I am able to return.
All emails received by the Helpline in the meantime will receive an automatic reply providing the links and information needed to cover my absence. For any emails of a medical/health nature, please seek advice from a guinea pig experienced vet.

Email contact is preferred to ensure I can be comprehensive in my replies, and to ensure you have written details of our contact and my advice to refer to. For this reason I do not accept phone calls.
I fully stand by all of the advice I give out, but I cannot be held responsible for advice that is not followed accurately as a result of your error.
Can I text the Helpline?
Yes, a text message can be sent to 07861 885297 at any time and I will aim to get back to you as soon as possible.
If I feel I can explain things more thoroughly by emailing, rather than texting, I will text back and ask for your email address to forward a more comprehensive reply.
What can the Helpline give advice about?
The Helpline advises on most standard areas of guinea pig care:
* Deciding if guinea pigs are a good pet for you
* Finding your local guinea pig rescue
* Feeding
* Housing
* Bedding
* Grooming
* Exercise
* Toys
* Tips on finding a good veterinarian.
I can also give advice on health and illness matters.

Who runs the Helpline and what experience do they have?
I am the only person on the Helpline at present, but in the future I hope to develop a reasonable network of other "piggie people" who specialise in specific areas to join the Helpline, and to bring the best advice and support to those seeking our knowledge.
